Mader Design was engaged by Hamilton County Parks to provide concurrent master planning services for Bray Family Homestead Park and HC Farms Park. The two undeveloped parks are less than 1 mile apart; by developing plans concurrently, site features and amenities were deliberately selected in order to create unique user experiences for each park. HC Farms will offer a passive, naturalized space with trails through woodland ravines and native wetlands. Designs for Bray Family Homestead Park offer active uses such as an all-ages, fitness-focused playground, 18 holes of disc golf, a pump track for mountain biking, increased community garden space, and opportunities for agritourism programming such as maple syrup and natural food production. A connector trail between the two park experiences is a potential future development.
