Greenwood Airport Beautification

Mader Design worked with the City of Greenwood and the Indy South Greenwood Airport to refresh the aesthetics of the airport grounds while creating a gateway into the City. The project included master planning for future development on and around the airport grounds, but focused on invigorating the public face of the airport. Old, rusty chain link fences were replaced with decorative masonry piers and ornamental metal fencing. A masonry sign was incorporated to create a formal greeting to the City. Landscaping took the place of lawn, and enhanced the fence line and walking trail that crosses the property. The final result is a well manicured landscape in keeping with the increasing commercial and retail development surrounding the airport.
